What’s up with the name, PookyHonk?
Good question.
Founder/Creative Director Mike Irvine coined the word PookyHonk as a toddler.
His parents laughed. He smiled. And it’s followed him ever since.
Today, PookyHonk acts as a reminder for us to explore our work, and life, like a curious two-year-old.

or a really cool mustache, good things take time.
Expect 6 to 8 weeks for a custom-made video that really, truly pops.

PLANNING
We start by studying every corner and crevice of your company, and working with you to develop a creative brief that will set you apart. Think of the brief as the blueprint for your video. A well thought out blueprint builds a video with a solid foundation.
SCRIPT
Words! Beautiful words! Your video is only as good as the script. A well-crafted script starts your project off on the right foot. Then we work hand-in-hand with you to guarantee your branded message is told succinctly and creatively by a talented voiceover artist.
ART
Now it’s time to make your video look amazing. At this stage, we’ll create a storyboard for your video and share several illustrated style frames. Then the animator will take the final illustrations and add motion baby!
SOUND
Silence can be golden, but not here. Our sound designer will mix the voiceover, music and SFX together to a harmonious perfection. Think of it like an audio ménage à trois.
DELIVERY
This is the big day! We deliver your video in the format you request. Then it's time to get eyeballs on it. Post your video on your website, internal platforms, social channels... and don't forget to send it to mom. Seriously, she'd love to hear from you.

We understand budgets are tight. And that gets us excited. Because smaller budgets call for more creative solutions, and that’s where we shine. (Plus, animation doesn’t require fancy camera gear, expensive airfare, and a hungry crew snacking on an endless buffet of food; just a team of talented, starving artists.)
So how much will it cost? Well that depends on a lot of variables (animation style, length, voiceover, sound design, etc.) Sure, you can find animated videos that fizzle for cheap. But if you want one that truly pops, it will cost a few Abe Lincolns. Tell us about your project and we’ll get you a quote ASAP.
If your budget is tighter than a camel’s behind in a sandstorm, we’re happy to brainstorm solutions within your price range. For all projects, we ask for a 50% deposit to begin, with the remainder due after the standing ovation.
